Houston Heights Texas:

The ART of Houston (TM)

Houston Heights Texas
"THIS WEBSITE IS NOT AFFILIATED IN ANY WAY WITH THE HOUSTON HEIGHTS ASSOCIATION."
WE WORK FOR AND WITH THE COMMUNITY, TO PROMOTE ART AND SMALL BUSINESSES.

This site is dedicated to ART and small businesses in Houston, Texas. Business owners and visitors can send information about their businesses or favorite establishments and we will list them here on "Houston Heights Texas." Links will be added for businesses with websites and we ask that the businesses listed link back to
www.HoustonHeightsTexas.com

Business owners are encouraged to host events on the first Saturday of each month. Events can be as simple as a meet and greet allowing business owners a chance to introduce themselves to the general public or as, "over the top" as a budget allows. "Houston Heights Texas," encourages businesses to take advantage of the first Saturday of each month as a time to introduce a new business or product line, have a fashion show, showcase an artist, band or just about anything. Fun events always bring out a crowd.

"Houston Heights Texas," helps promote small businesses, shopping, fun events and family entertainment by providing information with a few clicks. The more individual businesses get on board the more the word will spread about the fantastic communities, shops and individuals to be found right here in Houston. Jump on and lets have fun. Businesses wishing to pull resources to make their first Saturday event super spectacular are encouraged to do so. Please send information or questions to

Gallery M Squared presents:

Gallery M Squared

One of the most important duties of the Peruvian Consulate in Houston, is to promote and show Houstonians the great cultural values of our country. This exhibit allows us an opportunity to commemorate our National Day of Peru. It is a great honor for me to present Pedro Caballero's work in celebration of independence and friendship.

Carlos R. Polo
Consul General of Peru in Houston.

Father Time and Mother Space keep track of our existence
We weave our lives with threads, strands, and fibers
Never understanding the tapestry, we create
How strong is Father and understanding is Mother
To allow us this freedom
Never understanding the tapestry, they create
Freedom and independence belong to children

48 Hour Filmmaker: Houston 2009

In 2008 'SWEET BABY JESUS PRODUCTIONS" captured 7 of 14 award categories including "Best Film," "Best Directing" and "Best Acting." Therefore it should come as no surprise to hear, producer  Michael Darling and His "Sweet Baby Jesus Productions" team were chosen to participate in this year's 48 Hour Film Project Invitational 2009. Houston, the Nation and the rest of the world is in for a "pee your pants funny," five minute short by this creative force. Houston and the people living here add so much to the arts community  and Gallery M Squared believes we should embrace the creative genius to be found here.
